A sentence was passed in Sevastopol for neo-Nazi vandalism

A resident of Sevastopol was convicted for neo-Nazi graffiti on the Gourmet store.

In June 2021, the Magistrate's Court of District No. 20 of the Nakhimovsky District of the city of Sevastopol convicted a local resident (born in 1996) under Part 1 of Art. 214 of the Criminal Code (vandalism).

According to the prosecutor's office, in January, an attacker painted a swastika, a Celtic cross with black spray paint, and wrote 14/88 and obscene inscriptions on the facade of the building and metal-plastic shutters in the Gurme store on Pobeda Avenue. Property damage was estimated at 65,200 rubles.

The court sentenced him to imprisonment for a period of 1 year 8 months with a sentence to be served in a colony-settlement with deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to the administration of a network of websites, forums, chats and groups in social networks, for a period of 1 year 5 months.

When sentencing, the court took into account the fact that the defendant had an unexpunged and unexpired conviction for committing a crime in the field of illegal arms trafficking, and also canceled a suspended sentence for committing extremist acts.
