Simferopol: case under Art. 354.1 CC

A 21-year-old local resident is suspected of rehabilitating Nazism.

On June 11, 2021, the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol reported that a criminal case was initiated against a 21-year-old resident of Simferopol under Part 1 of Art. 354.1 of the Criminal Code (public denial of the facts established by the verdict of the Nuremberg Tribunal).

According to the IC, the young man published a post on VKontakte denying the facts established by the Nuremberg Tribunal, as well as approving the crimes of the Nazis and justifying the program of using slave labor and ill-treatment of prisoners of war. Details, unfortunately, are not reported.

During the investigation of the case, the young man's house was searched. It is reported that he signed a confession of guilt in the crime.
