Shaman Gabyshev reported deteriorating health in a mental hospital

Yakut shaman Alexander Gabyshev announced a deterioration in health while in a psycho-neurological dispensary. This is reported by MBKh Media with reference to the coordinator of the Human Rights Postcard Alexei Pryanishnikov.

At the last court session, Gabyshev complained of a constant feeling of weakness, dizziness and drowsiness. Employees of the medical institution also forbid him to use a mobile phone.

The Yakut shaman has been on compulsory treatment for five months. According to his lawyer, the dispensary does not hold commissions at which doctors must assess Gabyshev's condition and draw conclusions about the need to continue treatment.

In May, a Yakut court refused to recognize the forced hospitalization of the shaman Gabyshev as illegal.

• The security forces came to Gabyshev's house on January 27, 2021 and violently took him to the MHP. The court ruled on involuntary hospitalization on 2 February. He satisfied the claim of the Yakut Republican PND, since Gabyshev, after being discharged, refused to visit the institution voluntarily and began to make public statements. In March 2021, doctors who conducted a forensic psychiatric examination in the case of Gabyshev found signs of insanity in the shaman.
• On January 28, the day after the hospitalization, the security forces inspected the shaman's house as part of a pre-investigation check under the article on the use of violence against a security official (part 2 of article 318 of the Criminal Code). The criminal case was opened at the end of February. In March, it became known that the examination found no signs of harm, dangerous to the health of an employee of the Russian Guard, who is the victim in the case against Gabyshev.
• A resident of Yakutia, Alexander Gabyshev, who calls himself a warrior shaman, walked towards Moscow for several months in 2019 in order to “expel Putin.” In September 2019, Gabyshev was detained in a night camp near the federal highway on the border with the Irkutsk region. against him A case was opened for public calls for extremist activity (part 1 of article 280 of the Criminal Code). A psychiatric examination initiated by the FSB in Yakutia found signs of insanity in Gabyshev. His defense believes that the examination was carried out incorrectly.
• Gabyshev had already been forcibly placed in a psychiatric dispensary. On May 12, 2020, he was detained by OMON officers, the next day he was placed in the PND observatory, there was no communication with him for about a week. The shaman was treated at the Yakut Republican Psychoneurological Dispensary from May 13 to July 22. In August 2020, the court ruled that his forced placement in a psychiatric hospital was legal.
