The ex-Zam Procaes of the Central Bank Korishchenko was arrested in the case of embezzlement on an especially large scale

The Tver court of Moscow arrested the former deputy chairman of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation Konstantin Korishchenko in the case of the theft of more than 3 billion rubles from the Investbank, Interfax reports .

He was charged under Part 4 of Art. 160 of the Criminal Code (assignment or embezzlement on an especially large scale). The article provides for imprisonment for up to ten years with a fine of up to 1 million rubles.

According to the interlocutor of the agency, 19 people are held in the case, including the ex-owner of the Investbank Sergey Mendeleev, as well as the ex-member of the Supervisory Board of the Bank, Sergei Zaitsev and Vladimir Gezin.

In 2002-2008, Konstantin Korishchenko served as deputy chairman of the Central Bank of Russia. In 2009-2010 he was the general director of the Moscow Interbank Monetary Exchange, in 2012 - headed by the Investbank battery, which lost his license in December 2013.
