Yevgeny Saykov was brought to justice under Art. 20.3.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
On July 12, 2021, the Central District Court of Orenburg under Art. 20.3.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (incitement of social hatred) fined a local resident Yevgeny Saykov for 10 thousand rubles.
The reason for the administrative persecution of the Orenburger was the comments he published in Odnoklassniki, inciting "enmity and hatred, as well as containing humiliation of representatives of the "lawyers" group."
Unfortunately, we are not familiar with the content of the comments left by Saykov, but we tend to consider his persecution unlawful. In our opinion, lawyers should not be considered a vulnerable group protected by Art. 20.3.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. In addition, we believe that the vague concept of "social group" should be excluded from the composition of anti-extremist articles in order to avoid abuse.
