Lufthansa's largest air concert intends to abandon the appeal of the lady and gentlemen on board its flights in favor of gender-neutral forms of greeting, Interfax reports .
As noted in the press service of the company, the decision is aimed at ensuring that all passengers feel comfortable, including those who do not identify their gender.
“It is important for us to take into account all passengers in their appeal. Depending on the time of day, it will be possible to use various greetings, for example, “Dear Guests”, “Good Morning/Good afternoon/Good evening” or “Welcome to the side”. The decision will be made by the aircraft commander, ”said Lufthansa spokesman.
The solution was the result of a broader discussion of inclusiveness in the company. According to the representative of Lufthansa, efforts to achieve the gender-neutral language will be attached to both passengers and employees of the company.
Previously, a similar decision was made by Disneyland, abandoning the use of the phrase "ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls." The guests are now addressing "dreamers of all ages."
