A court in Moscow fined Dani Akel, accused in a “sanitary case,” 100 thousand rubles. this with reference to the press service of the court. reports RIA Novosti

He was found guilty of violating sanitary standards (Part 1 of Article 236 of the Criminal Code). The remaining defendants in the case are accused of inciting violations of these norms (part 4 of article 33, part 1 of article 236 of the Criminal Code).

Today, the Preobrazhensky District Court of Moscow was supposed to pronounce a verdict in the “sanitary case” of Lyubov Sobol, but it was postponed until tomorrow. Akel’s case was examined in one day.

In April, lawyer Vladimir Voronin spoke about the first defendant in the “sanatorium case”, who, according to the investigation, came to the rally on January 23 with coronavirus. It was Akel. The investigation calls him a “perpetrator” who, under the influence of the “calls” of Lyubov Sobol and others, went out onto the street. Akel himself said in court that he went to the rally after two negative pharmacy tests for coronavirus. In addition, according to him, he did not follow Navalny’s associates on social networks, but learned about the rally from the Dozhd broadcast.
