Arrival announced partnership with Microsoft Azure

Commercial electric vehicle developer Arrival has announced a partnership with Microsoft to store and process data from the company's truck fleets in the Azure cloud.

It is expected that the transfer of standardized geodata and telemetry to a common repository will allow users to "safely and responsibly analyze information and use the results in their business." The data can be accessed by insurers for claims processing or rate optimization, or city planning agencies.

Arrival itself, based on the data received, promises to improve its product and the logistics of truck fleets.

The British company Arrival was founded by the ex-head of Yota and the former Deputy Minister of Communications of Russia Denis Sverdlov. In the spring, the company entered the Nasdaq through a takeover mechanism using SPAC with a valuation of $13.6 billion. Now its capitalization is $7.6 billion.
