A 41-year-old local resident was found guilty of inciting hatred.
On August 18, 2021, it became known that in North Ossetia, a court found a previously convicted 41-year-old resident of Vladikavkaz guilty under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting ethnic hatred) and sentenced him to two years in prison.
According to media reports, in January 2021, a man published a post on VKontakte, in which, according to an expert opinion, there were statements “degrading a group of people united by the same race, nationality, language and origin.” In 2020, he was fined 10 thousand rubles under Art. 20.3.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (inciting hatred).
At the trial, he admitted his guilt. The post has been removed.
