
The FSB announced the detention of a citizen of Ukraine in Tula, who, according to the special service, tried to recruit employees of defense enterprises. This was reported by Interfax with reference to the Center for Public Relations of the FSB.
“Its goals were the recruiting development of Russians and the receipt of information protected by law on promising development in the field of small arms protected by law,” the Central Center for Social Development said.
A criminal case has been instituted against the detainee under Article 276 of the Criminal Code of Russia (espionage). Details of the special operation, as well as the personality of the detainee are not disclosed.
According to an article on espionage, the detainee faces up to 20 years in prison.
