A criminal case has been opened in Sevastopol for xenophobic publications on social networks.
In August 2021, a criminal case was initiated in Sevastopol under Part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremist activities).
According to the Russian Federal Security Service for Crimea and Sevastopol, a 38-year-old resident of Sevastopol posted materials on one of their social networks that, "according to the results of a comprehensive psychological and linguistic study, contain linguistic and psychological signs of inducement (including in the form of a call) to carry out violent actions (destruction) against representatives of one of the nationalities.
