It is reported that entrepreneur Dmitry Motokhin left a comment on the social network calling for the separation of Moscow from Russia.
On August 24, 2021, the Central District Court of Novokuznetsk, Kemerovo Region, fined 70 thousand rubles under Part 2 of Art. 20.3.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (public calls to violate territorial integrity of Russia on the Internet) Dmitry Motokhin, host local taxi company, participant in protests against transport reform in 2020 year.
Motokhin reportedly posted a comment on social media calling for separation of Moscow from Russia. We are not familiar with the content of this comment, however, we believe that such a statement, if its essence is conveyed correctly, cannot be taken seriously and does not deserve persecution.
As a reminder, we believe that sanctions are appropriate only in case of publication calls for violent separatism, while peaceful discussions about the territorial status of certain regions should not be limited.
