September 3, 2021 The European Court of Human Rights communicated the complaint of members Church of Scientology of St. Petersburg to the measure of restraint chosen for them.

Recall that the case of the St. Petersburg Scientologists Ivan Matsitsky, Sahib Aliyev, Galina Shurinova, Anastasia Terentyeva and Constance Esaulkova are considered in the Nevsky District Court. They are charged under Part 3 of Art. 33 p. "c" part 2 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code, Part 3 Art. 33 part 1 art. 282.1 of the Criminal Code, part 2 of Art. 282.1 of the Criminal Code, part 3 of Art. 33 pp. "a", "b" part 2 Art. 171 of the Criminal Code, part 5 of Art. 33 pp. "a", "b" part 2 of Art. 171 of the Criminal Code and part 3 of Art. 33 p. "b" part 4 Art. 174.1 of the Criminal Code (organization of excitation hatred by an organized group, organizing the activities of an extremist community and participation in it, organizing illegal business an organized group with the extraction of income on an especially large scale, aiding illegal business by an organized group with extraction of income on an especially large scale and the organization of legalization of income in especially large).

The defendants plead not guilty. A measure of restraint for Aliyev and Terentyeva - a ban certain actions, Shurinova and Esaulkova have a written undertaking not to leave. Matsitsky, who was in custody until November 2019, was released, but in March 2021 was again placed in custody.
