Mordovia: case under Art. 282 CC

A 39-year-old local resident is suspected of inciting ethnic hatred.

On September 26, 2021, it became known that in Mordovia a criminal case was initiated against a 39-year-old local resident under Part 1 of Art. 282.2 of the Criminal Code (inciting national hatred).

According to media reports, on the Yandex.Zen site, a man published a text that incites hatred for "non-Slavs" and "non-whites." Previously, he had already been brought to administrative responsibility under Art. 20.3.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

The court chose the man a measure of restraint in the form of a written undertaking not to leave.
