
The Ministry of Health of Russia excluded nursing women from the list of people who have contraindications for vaccination with the drug against the coronavirus "satellite V". According to Interfax, the corresponding change is made in the instructions for Gam-Kovid-Vaku on October 15.
In the new version of the instruction, it is noted that the clinical data on the use of “satellite V” among nursing women is absent, and it is not known whether the active substances of the drug are able to penetrate into breast milk.
“Before making a decision on the vaccination of a nursing woman, it is necessary to evaluate the risks and benefits of this vaccination,” the document says.
On July 20, the WHO updated her recommendations for vaccination from coronavirus - preliminary results of the studies showed that the vaccination of nursing mothers from Covid -19 does not pose a threat to children.
On June 25, it became known that the Ministry of Health of Russia allowed to vaccinate pregnant women from the coronavirus vaccine "satellite V".
