Magadan region: two cases under Art. 280

In the Magadan region, two criminal cases have been initiated on public calls for extremism for publications on the Internet.

In October 2021, two criminal cases were initiated in the Magadan Region under Part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremism).

Criminal cases were opened against two local residents, who reportedly published some materials on the Internet that contained incitement to violence. Details, unfortunately, were not disclosed.

Both suspects have been detained.
