Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Belarus and Russia approved 28 union programs. The meeting was held via videoconference.
“I am signing. I see that your signature (Putin) is under the decree, all members of the Supreme State Council. If you don't mind, I will sign the decree. But everyone will answer, not only me,” Lukashenka said before signing (quote from Belta ).
The union programs, as reported, deal with the integration of the currency systems of the two countries, the creation of a common payment space and new principles of taxation. Also, the Supreme State Council approved the concept of the migration policy of the union state and adopted an updated military doctrine.
“We intend to jointly oppose any attempts to interfere in the internal affairs of our sovereign states. And Russia, of course, will continue to provide assistance to the fraternal Belarusian people. There are no doubts here,” Putin said at a meeting of the Supreme State Council (quote from Interfax ).
About 28 allied programs were reported only in general terms , the details of their implementation are still unknown.
