Two cases involving comments on the Internet were brought to court against a resident of Mezhdurechensk

In Mezhdurechensk, two cases were submitted to the court against a 62-year-old local resident accused of inciting hatred and inciting extremism.

At the beginning of November 2021, in the city of Mezhdurechensk, Kemerovo Region, the investigation of the case under Part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremism).

Irina Litvinenko, a 62-year-old local resident who, according to law enforcement, posted comments on a social network in June and October 2019 calling for violence against members of certain ethnic or religious groups, will soon be in the dock.

The woman pleaded guilty.

The case has already been referred to the court for consideration on the merits.

Earlier - in October of this year - it was reported that another case against Litvinenko was transferred to court - under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting national hatred).

According to investigators, from October to November 2020, she posted xenophobic comments on her page on the social network. This case was qualified under Art. 282 of the Criminal Code because in June 2020 Litvinenko was convicted under Part 1 of Art. 20.3.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (inciting national hatred). Then the Mezhdurechensky City Court of the Kemerovo Region fined her 10,000 rubles, finding her guilty of publishing anti-Semitic comments on the Internet.
