In Stavropol, a sentence was passed under Art. 280 Criminal Code

A resident of Stavropol received a year and a half of probation for an anti-Semitic comment on a social network.

On October 25, 2021, the Oktyabrsky Court of Stavropol found a local resident Kozlov guilty under Part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremist activity) for publishing a comment on the VKontakte social network calling for anti-Semitic violence.

The court sentenced him to one and a half years probation. A resident of Stavropol is also prohibited from administering websites and groups on social networks.

According to the prosecutor's office, the commentary "contains linguistic and psychological signs of incitement (including in the form of a call) to violence against representatives of a group of people identified by nationality - the Jews."

The defendant pleaded guilty and requested that the case be considered in a special manner.
