Arrival presented a pre-production electric bus

The British electric transport manufacturer Arrival, founded by the former Deputy Minister of Communications of Russia Denis Sverdlov, presented a prototype of an electric bus.

The main thing that the company pays attention to is that an electric bus will cost about the same as a diesel counterpart. It is a low-floor car with a battery in the floor, composite panels and a transparent roof. There are no technical details yet.

Early prototypes are already running on the lines of the British operator First Bus, the new pre-production prototype is also aimed at the British market: it has a right-hand drive. However, it will be produced overseas at a plant in South Carolina with a capacity of 10,000 units per year. Arrival indicates that 12% of its order book (now 64,000 commercial vehicles) is for electric buses.
