The Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia began a check after reports of the torture of a citizen of Uzbekistan Zhobra Zhuraev, who was serving a term in correctional colony No. 6 in the Vladimir region, reports Mediazona Central Asia with reference to the press service of the department.

The 27-year-old cook Zhuraev was convicted in the criminal case of extortion and theft of documents for 11.5 years in prison. In the Russian colony it has been located since 2015. According to a foreigner, since 2017, the warders and the prisoners are beaten by the administration have beaten him, torture, they are sealed and threaten to rape, insulting, calling the “Churka”, “Uzbek ganda” and “Pidaras”. On November 30, Zhuraev was sent to a single camera for six months, after which he announced a hunger strike. The convicted person wrote to his father Botir Bozorov that he was not given medicines and letters.

In the fall of 2021, the prisoner was able to transfer a notebook to his father, in which he described in detail the torture, the dates of beatings and the names of the FSIN employees who participated in the bullying of him.

“They constantly make me hang myself, they say to commit suicide, I'm tired of living like that, I can no longer endure that. Policeers stick out their members, pour on me and shoot it on the video, make it speak to the camera of obscenity. And they say, if I call a lawyer again, they will show this video to other prisoners. Father, I'm tired of living like that, it’s better to die, ”says Zhuraev’s diary.

It also says that Zhuraev was tortured with electric shock, applying bare wires to the legs and a floor dick. After that, the prisoner "wrote with blood for two months." “This zone for non -Russian, as we want, will be mocking. We want - kill, we want - we will rape, ”the overseers told Zhuraev.

“In 2017, the police beat me, hung a cross on me, urinated me and said that I was now a Christian. They tied my arms and legs, did not give bread for 15 days, I had to sign their paper, ”the convict said in the diary. He also extorted money. In the same year, Zhuraev handed over to tormentors 50 thousand rubles.

According to the prisoner’s father, after publishing information about torture in the media, the prosecutor came to Zhuraev, who took his testimony from him. Bozorov moved to Moscow and got a job at the construction site to pay for the services of a lawyer and transfer for his son.

Zhuraeva lawyer Yulia Chevanova submitted an application to the Investigative Committee. She noted that yellow bruises remained on the back of the client. Chevanova demanded to verify information about the beating of the prisoner and initiate criminal cases under articles on exceeding and abuse of authority.

At the same time, the FSIN employees told the lawyer that Zhuraev was injured when he "fell out of bed." “They always want to expose him to some crazy that he has everything with his head that he is negative. In 2018, Zhuraev witnessed reprisals against other prisoners in IK-6, Armenian Mount Ovakimyan. According to prisoners, Ovakimyan was brutally beaten by “activists” for a disciplinary violation. He later died in a prison hospital. Mediazona published shocking personnel of the last minutes of Ovakimyan's life. Judging by the video, doctors did not even try to independently carry out resuscitation measures using the defibrillator. As a result, Feldsher Ivan Semetyuk was tried for non -ordering medical care, but justified.

Several prisoners spoke about torture in IK-6. So, in 2021, Pavel Zotov, who was sitting in the colonies of the Vladimir region from 2009 to 2021, spoke about bullying. He recalled that in IK-6, convicts in police clothes laid him on the floor, divided him, tied his arms and legs and beat him with a club of torture and groin.
