A resident of North Ossetia was convicted under Art. 282 CC

In November 2021, a court in North Ossetia sentenced local resident I. Bagaev to 2.5 years in prison, finding him guilty of inciting hatred.
November 19, 2021 Suburban the district court of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania found 23-year-old local resident I. Bagaev guilty under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting national and religious hatred).

The reason for initiating the case was “negative statements degrading the dignity of the group persons united by one confession, language, origin", which he allowed on VKontakte.

The court sentenced him to 2.5 years in prison. What is the reason for the appointment of such a severe punishment, unfortunately, was not reported. Perhaps the media made a mistake and we are talking about a suspended sentence.

Earlier, for a similar act, Bagaev had already held liable under Art. 20.3.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (excitation hate). At that time, he attracted the attention of law enforcement agencies with his publications, which were directed against Christians and Muslims.
