Harassment of a journalist by supporters of patriarchy

Attack on a journalist for supporting feminism and the LGBT community.
On December 3, 2021, Radio Liberty journalist and host of the FemVremya telegram channel Karina Merkuryeva reported on harassment by radical supporters of patriarchy and conservative values.

She said that her bank card details, links to her social networks and her mother's home address were posted on the Internet. After that, confirmation codes from various stores were sent to her and her mother's phones every second, and scammers repeatedly tried to take out a loan in their names. During the evening they received more than a thousand different messages. One of the persecutors promised Merkurieva "to come visit with a cake." The attack began at 7 p.m. on Telegram. The reason for the attack, Merkurieva called her position on the LGBT community and feminism.

In correspondence with an employee of the SOVA center, Merkurieva said that threats came from three different communities, apparently trying to follow the path of the banned “Male State” by Vladislav Pozdnyakov.
