The FSB reported that 106 neo-Nazis were detained in a number of regions of Russia on suspicion of plotting terrorist attacks.

On December 13, 2021, the FSB announced that 106 neo-Nazis were detained in 37 regions on suspicion of plotting terrorist attacks and massacres in Russia.

It is reported that the detainees are supporters of the radical group "Maniacs: a cult murders” (M.K.U).

Two groups affiliated with M.C.U. were detained in the Penza region (five people) and the Komi Republic (eight people).

Three administrators were identified among the detainees. online communities that “propagated ... extremist ideology and calling for violent acts.

On January 25, 2022, it became known that against the Penza participants a criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Art. 213 (hooliganism).

The investigation believes that M.K.U. created by a citizen of Ukraine Egor Krasnov ("Zon", "Maniak", "German"), born in 2000, using on the Internet pseudonym Egor Yakovlev.
