The Turkish Foreign Ministry said that Ankara and Yerevan will open the air message to "normalize relations"

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlut Chavushoglu announced that Türkiye and Armenia will soon appoint special representatives to normalize relations.

“For establishing relations between Turkey and Armenia, charter aircraft will be opened,” said Chavushoglu, speaking in parliament.

The official representatives of Armenia have not yet commented on the statement of Chavushogol.

Relations between Armenia and Turkey are complicated by the issue of recognizing the Armenian genocide, Armenia’s refusal to ratify the Karsan Treaty and support by Turkey of Azerbaijan in the Karabakh conflict. The border between the two neighboring states is closed, its length is 311 km.
