In Samara, on the next search of Jehovah's Witnesses, the organization’s members were tortured with a hot teapot for refusing to name the password from the laptop, the Mediazon reports .

According to the publication, searches were held in the houses of Denis Kuzyanin, Sergey Palasenko and Nikolai Vasiliev, who were sent under arrest the day after investigative events.

According to the organization, on one of the searches, the security forces “began to apply a heated kettle to the hands of the owner of the apartment and water him with hot water hands, legs and neck” due to the fact that he refused to name the password. A similar situation occurred with another believers.

The organization of Jehovah's Witnesses was banned in Russia in April 2017, after which criminal cases began to initiate criminal proceedings against the followers of this religious teaching. According to the Memorial human rights center, at least 75 “Jehovah's Witnesses” are now in custody. Of these, 35 believers are sentenced to real terms of imprisonment. During the investigation, torture was applied to the detainees.

At the same time, the Russian authorities say that there is no persecution in the country on a religious basis.
