
The deputy chairman of the Moscow Region Government Georgy Filimonov may become one of the applicants for the position of Governor of the Moscow Region (the election of the head of the region should be held in 2023), Znak.com reports with reference to the source. According to the interlocutor of the publication, the career growth of Filimonov may be due to the fact that his father is a close friend of the first deputy head of the Russian Presidential Administration Sergei Kiriyenko.
Filimonov was appointed to the Government of Mosoblast only in November and even the governor Andrei Vorobyov found out about the appointment of “Day a day”, the source notes.
“The agenda of meetings of the Government [Mosoblasti] regularly prepares and claims [Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Mosocrats of Maria] of the Nagorny with the participation of [Governor Andrei] Vorobyov. Three days after the meeting, deputies of the Moscow Regional Duma supported the candidacy of Georgy Filimonov as deputy chairman of the regional government.
Filimonov is supervised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Mosoblasti, and the Forestry Committee.
Another source told the publication that after Filimonov officially took office, Andrei Vorobyov gathered all deputy prime ministers and said: “It is necessary to enter [his] in the course of business in all areas of activity.”
According to the interlocutor Znak.com, Filimonov Sr. once "trained with Kiriyenko." “On the topic of classes of martial arts [Yuri] Filimonov and made friends with [Sergey] Kiriyenko,” the source said.
Yuri Filimonov holds the post of executive director of the RSBI branch in the Vologda region, in 2017 he was elected deputy of the City Duma Cherepovets.
