In Novgorod, a court declared a video file published by the leader of a pagan community extremist

December 29, 2021 Novgorod District Court Novgorod region recognized as extremist the video file “Isusya Slaps”, published by the head Novgorod community "Volkhva" in one of the social networks.

With a claim in defense of an indefinite circle of persons against the head of the community Velegor (Sergey Vasilyevich Leshchenko (Radzinsky)) appealed to the regional prosecutor's office. Conducted socio-humanitarian expertise found that with the help of the facts presented in the video “ a negative image is created representatives of the Islamic religion, who are prescribed to commit negative actions (terrorism)" .

The court concluded that “the video file has a clearly expressed extremist character”, and banned its distribution on the territory of the Russian Federation.

Video author could not be installed, Leshchenko only republished it on his page.

In March 2022, the video file was added to the Federal List of Extremist Materials under item 5264.
