Kazakhtelecom operator disconnected the Internet throughout the country - Globalcheck

The Kazakhtelecom operator turned off the Internet throughout the country. This was reported by the Globalcheck project. According to Vladislav Zdolnikov, founder of Red Shield VPN and Globalcheck, we are talking about a "total shutdown of the Internet in the country."

“From yesterday until the current moment we observed a complete disconnection of the cellular communication and a partial shutdown of the wired Internet in Alma-Ata. In some other regions of Kazakhstan, only certain resources, Telegram were blocked, and at night they began to block VPN services. Half an hour ago, we recorded a complete shutdown of the Internet throughout Kazakhstan, this is exactly appropriate for Kazakhtelecom and, most likely, the Beeline operator, he told The Insider.

In Kazakhstan, the fourth day does not subside protests caused by a sharp increase in liquefied gas prices. The rallies began on January 2 in Zhanaozen, later residents of the city were supported in many other settlements. By the evening of January 4, protests, for which people for the most part come out with political requirements, covered most of the country.
