In January 2022, it became known about the arrest and initiation of proceedings against another alleged member of the M.C.U. in Russia.
On January 22, 2022, the FSB public relations center reported that another supporter of the ultra-right organization M.K.U. was detained in the Tver region, who, according to law enforcement agencies, was planning to carry out terrorist attacks on transport.
The 18-year-old detainee reportedly acted on instructions from leader M.K.U. Yegor Krasnov and was engaged in "propaganda of the ideology of massacres, involving new members in the MKU community, as well as preparing terrorist acts at transport infrastructure facilities." Details were not disclosed.
A criminal case was initiated against the detainee under Part 2 of Art. 282.1 of the Criminal Code (participation in an extremist community) and Part 1 of Art. 30 of the Criminal Code and part 1 of Art. 205 of the Criminal Code (preparation for a terrorist act). He has already confessed. It is reported that law enforcement officers found his correspondence in the Telegram messenger with Krasnov, and also found instructions for making improvised explosive devices from him.
An additional criminal case was initiated against Yegor Krasnov. He is accused under Part 1 of Art. 282.1 of the Criminal Code (organization of an extremist community).
