TikTok began to implement the law on “landing” in Russia

Singapore-based TikTok Pte. Ltd posted a form for Russian users to contact on their resources. This is one of the three main requirements of the law on "landing" for foreign IT platforms with a daily audience in Russia of 500 thousand people.

The fact that TikTok posted an electronic feedback form was reported by Roskomnadzor. The remaining two requirements - opening a branch in Russia and creating a personal account on the regulator's website - have not yet been fulfilled.

On the eve of the law "on landing" began to fulfill the corporations Apple and Likeme. Both registered personal accounts and launched forms for citizens to apply. Viber has set up a personal account and is preparing to open a representative office in Russia.

• The law “on landing” of foreign IT companies with a daily audience of 500,000 or more users in Russia came into force in January 2022. In case of non-compliance with the requirements, Roskomnadzor may apply one or more measures to the violator, including prohibiting the placement of advertising on the resource of this company, restricting money transfers and accepting payments, and also partially or completely blocking the resource in Runet.
