Sochi pastor fined for collaborating with undesirable organization

On March 10, 2022, the Ramensky City Court fined Pastor of the Sochi New Generation Church Artur Megrikyan for five thousand rubles, finding him guilty under Art. 20.33 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (participation in the activities of a foreign or international non-governmental organization for which a decision has been made to recognition of its activities as undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation).

Reason for attracting the pastor was held accountable for Megrikyan’s participation in the conference of Protestant clergy in Ramenskoye in December 2021, the holding of which was disrupted by the security forces.

It was not possible to appeal this decision.   Sources
