In April 2022, a court in Vologda fined a local resident (born in 1977) 10,000 rubles for publishing freely available text messages and video materials on a popular social network that had a "negative assessment of a group of people united on the basis of belonging to a certain nationality" . According to the expert's conclusion, "the materials revealed signs of inciting national hatred and enmity."
