The European Union most decisively condemns messages about the atrocities committed by the Russian armed forces in a number of liberated occupied Ukrainian cities. This is stated in the EU statement .

“A large number of victims among the civilian population, as well as the destruction of civil infrastructure, show the true face of a brutal aggressive war, which Russia wages against Ukraine and its people. The pogroms in Buch and other Ukrainian cities will be included in the list of atrocities committed on European land. The Russian authorities are responsible for these atrocities committed at a time when they actually controlled this area. They are subject to international law of occupation, ”the statement said.

The European Union announced the support of the investigation of war crimes and crimes against humanity, which is conducted by the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (MUS), and also promised to assist the Prosecutor General of Ukraine in the collection and preservation of evidence of war crimes:
