In April 2022, the Volgograd Regional Court sentenced 20-year-old student Filippov under Part 1 of Art. 354.1 of the Criminal Code (rehabilitation of Nazism). He was fined 100 thousand rubles.

According to the press service, in June 2020, the young man posted on his Internet page on the social network VKontakte "a text indicating the liberating nature of the attack on June 22, 1941 by the army under the command of Hitler on the territories occupied by the Bolsheviks, Jews and Asians", and also "called the peoples attacked "sub-human" and parasites of the country, their worldviews - degenerate, and the actions of the Nazis - sacred."

Filippov admitted his guilt and repented of his deed.
