In Lithuania, due to sanctions, a thousand Russian wagons were stuck in Kaliningrad

About a thousand Russian wagons following Kaliningrad were detained in Lithuania. According to Kommersant, we are talking about tanks with oil loads.

Another 30 tanks during transit to Kaliningrad were stuck in Finland. Transportation problems began due to European sanctions against Russia.

The Union of Railway Transport Operators asks the Russian government to consider ways to reduce the risks of transportation through “unfriendly countries”. For example, to reimburse operators with the cost of wagons lost in Lithuania.

Also in April, hundreds of trucks were stuck in Posor on the border of Poland and Belarus. On April 17, according to BBC journalists, from 230 to 400 trucks accumulated in front of two border crossings from the Polish side.

On April 18, Elvira Nabiullina announced that the sanctions, which have so far hit the financial sector, will soon affect the entire economy.
