Pskov’s court fined Lev Schlosberg and his wife for “discrediting the army” for 62 thousand rubles

The Pskov City Court appointed administrative fines to the chairman of the local branch of the Yabloko party to Lev Shlosberg and his wife Zhanna. They were found guilty of “discrediting the Russian army” (part 1 of article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation). The court fined Jeann to 30 thousand rubles, and Lev Schlosberg - 32 thousand rubles, wrote a politician on his Facebook page. Judge Maria Emelyanova appointed a large amount of fine due to the fact that Schlosberg in 2021 was already brought to administrative responsibility in the "political" case.

The opposition policy was blamed for the publication on the VKontakte social network on March 15 of a five -second video with the action of Marina Ovsyannikova on the air of the First Channel and commentary on it - about the state of Russian media, journalism and propaganda.

Jeanne was charged with the publication on February 24 (on the day of the start of the Russian invasion) photographs in embroidered shirt, Ukrainian national wreath of flowers with ribbons of yellow and blue colors and a sheet of paper with the inscription “No [you know what]!”, As well as photographs of her backpack with the same attached ribbons and several comments left as part of the discussion with the visitors of the Jeanne page in social networks. In one of the posts of the wife, the politician said: “Ukraine, dear, I am with you ... People die, fate breaks, and former friendship and kinship are collapsing. So that you understand the depths of my grief, by mom I am a Ukrainian, in my father - a Belarusian. In the 21st century, conflicts cannot be resolved by armed route. Only peaceful. Propaganda divides enemies ... "

Judge Lidia Duzhenko, considering the case of Jeanne, saw in the publications “criticism of the actions of the Russian Federation”.

Both administrative protocols compiled in relation to the spouses began the same: "... being disagreed with the actions of the Russian Federation in Ukraine." Schlosberg in court emphasized that the protocol reflects the constitutional right of a citizen to criticize the actions of power and state policy, and this, in principle, cannot be the subject of an offense. Criticism is not discrediting, but by an assessment by a citizen of actions of the authorities, he believes.

“These are the first two decisions of the courts under article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses adopted in the Pskov region,” Schlosberg emphasized. The spouses intend to appeal court decisions.

The protocols against Schlosberg and his wife, who is also a member of Yabloko, were drawn up on April 14. On the same day, searches were carried out from the Yabllenniki Ekaterina Novikova, Nikolai Kuzmina, as well as his parents. In addition, the security forces came with searches for the chief of the Pskov Province Denis Kamalyagin and journalist Svetlana Prokopyeva.

In relation to the municipal deputy from the Yabloko party, Nikolai Kuzmin, two protocols on administrative offenses were drawn up : under Art. 20.3.3 Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (discrediting the Armed Forces) and under Art. 20.3 Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (demonstration of prohibited symbols). The first article involves a fine of 30 to 50 thousand rubles, and according to the second, arrest for 15 days is possible. Protocol under Art. 20.3.3 was compiled for the repost of the video message of the first channel of Marina Ovsyannikova , and the other - for the photo with the symbols of organizations of Alexei Navalny.
