The Ministry of Justice included in the lists of the in agents of the rapper Morgenstern and 7 more people, including Lyubov Sobol and Vladimir Milov

The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation included in the list of "foreign agents" Raper Morgenstern (Alisher Valeeva). The department explained that the basis for the inclusion was the “political activity” of the artist, RIA Novosti reports . Also, politicians Vladimir Milov and Leonid Gozman, sociologist Boris Kagarlitsky, the comrade-in-arms of Navalny Lyubov Sobol, director of the Internet Protection Society Mikhail Klimarev, the head of the club of young journalists in Kirov Natalia Baranov, and the head of the Orlov News, Denis Konstantinov, were added to the list of foreign agents. In addition, the status of the media-foreign agent is assigned to Apologia LLC (legal entity of the human rights organization of the same name).

In relation to Morgenstern, several criminal cases of drug promotion were previously instituted. Also, the court in Ufa last year fined the rapper for the plagiarism of the song of Moscow showman Oleg Likhachev “Vladimir Putin - well done”, which he performed during his performances.

The apology said that the organization had no foreign financing. “All the money that comes to our project is received from Russian citizens, payments are in such a way that transfers from foreign cards are not passing,” the senior partner of the project Alexander Porukruk told Kommersant. “We are not conducting any political activity, apparently therefore we were introduced to the register of media-regents, for which it is not even necessary to have such a condition as political activity.”

The Law on the Media “Ino-Agents” was adopted in Russia in 2017. According to him, a “foreign agent” can be recognized by any media that receives funding or property from abroad. In 2019, a new law was adopted, which made it possible to reckon not only legal entities, but also individuals to “foreign agents”. Since December 2020, individuals and unregistered public associations receiving financing abroad can also give this status for “political activity” in Russia, which de facto includes any public assessment of the activities of any state authority. In addition, on March 1, 2021, punishments were tightened for violations of the “foreign agents”: today they provide both administrative fines and criminal liability for a period of up to five years in prison.

Over the past years, more than two hundred media, NPOs and individuals have got into the registers of “foreign Agents”. The first five people - human rights activist Lev Ponomarev, journalists Lyudmila Savitskaya, Sergey Markelov and Denis Kamalyagin, as well as civil activist Daria Apakhonchich - were included in the corresponding list of December 28, 2020.

The registers of the “foreign agents” are regularly replenished since April 23, 2021, when the corresponding status was assigned to the Medusa and the First Anti -Corruption Media. On May 14, the media, the “Inoagent”, was recognized by the VTIMES publication, the editors of which later decided to close the media due to the new status.

Last summer, “foreign agents” were recognized by The Insider, Rain and Important Stories, as well as several dozen journalists of various publications. So, for example, the Ministry of Justice submitted to the list of open media journalists (the publication is blocked in Russia) Ilya Rozhdestvensky because of the materials about the Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov, about the case of journalist Ivan Safronov and street protests. At the same time, the Ministry of Justice called the “GOST” content of the letter of Rosfinmonitoring, because of which the “Ino-Agents” were recognized by the colleagues of Rozhdestvensky-Julia Yarosh and Maxim Glykin.

On September 29, the lists of “foreign agents” replenished “OVD-Info”, “Mediazon”, its publisher Petr Verzilov and Glavred Sergey Smirnov. According to the Ministry of Justice, the Mediazona fell into the corresponding list due to the quoting of other “foreign agents”, as well as because of the income from Google Reclamation, which the agency considered foreign financing. Moreover, earlier the Russian court himself insisted on the payment of similar income to Constantinople.

In addition, 20 people associated with the Voice movement were recognized as “foreign agents” in September. Just a few days before, the State Duma elections were held in Russia, on which, thanks to the “voice”, numerous violations were identified.

Later, the Ministry of Justice recognized the “Ino-Agents” by the legal entity “RS-Balt” and “Moskow Dijital Media”, who own the publications of Rosbalt and Republic, the lawyer Ivan Pavlov and four ex-employees of the team 29 human rights organization, as well as the Russian LGBT network and its founder Igor Kochetkov. The list of foreign agents also included the chief editor of The Insider Roman Dobrokhotov, writer Viktor Shenderovich, rapper Face, journalists Sergey Parkhomenko and Yuri Dud.
