"Acting head of the Altai Territory of the RSFSR" received a suspended sentence.
On March 23, 2022, the Belokurikha City Court sentenced under Part 2 of Art. 282.2 of the Criminal Code (participation in the activities of a public association, in respect of which the court has made a final decision on prohibition of activities in connection with the implementation of extremist activity) 53-year-old Alexander Zubarev to 3 years of imprisonment conditionally with restriction of liberty for 10 months. Appointed punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty, it was decided to consider conditional, with probationary period of 2 years 6 months.
Zubarev tried to challenge decision in the Altai Regional Court. On May 6, 2022, a meeting was held in the case, but the appeal remained without satisfaction, and the decision of the court without change.
According to the court, he presented himself as "acting head of the Altai Territory of the RSFSR", denied the legitimacy of the Russian Federation and was a member of a banned organization. We are talking about the organization of the USSR ("Union of Slavic Forces of Russia") by S. Taraskin, recognized as extremist on July 15, 2019. Since October 2019, Alexander Zubarev "spread ideas of an extremist nature during meetings with various people", "spoke about the idea of denying the legitimacy of the constitutional order of the Russian Federation and state authorities, the need to counteract it, restore socialism and recreate the new state of the "USSR" on the basis of unification ". In support of his position, he showed a business card, as well as "other documents substantiating the idea of recreating the new state of the 'USSR'."
