On May 12, 2022, the Gagarinsky District Court of Sevastopol delivered a sentence under Part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for the implementation of extremist activities) and part 1 of Art. 148 of the Criminal Code (insulting the religious feelings of believers).

Earlier in Sevastopol, FSB officers detained a resident of the city (born 2001) for publishing comments on VKontakte calling for violence "against persons of certain nationalities" and "against representatives of various religions and their confessions."
