Old Believer community in Simferopol warned for “illegal” missionary work

A court in Simferopol issued a warning to the Old Believer community for "illegal" missionary work.

May 30, 2022 Magistrate's Court of the Judicial Section No. 16 of the Central Judicial District of Simferopol fined Orthodox the Old Believer community of the city according to Part 3 of Art. 5.26 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (implementation religious organization of activity without indicating its official full titles, including issue or distribution as part of a missionary activities of literature with incomplete or deliberately false labeling). Sum the fine amounted to 30 thousand rubles, but this punishment was replaced by a warning.

Protocol was drawn up based on the results of the prosecutor's check, which established that the community conducted missionary activities on the Internet without indicating its full titles in published video and audio materials.
