Microsoft from today, June 15, has stopped supporting the Internet Explorer browser. This was reported on the official website. On the download page, instead of Internet Explorer, it is proposed to install the Microsoft Edge browser.
The browser is disabled in all current consumer versions of Windows 10 and Windows 10 IoT. In Windows 11, the Internet Explorer 11 application is already unavailable, and the default browser for Windows 11 is Edge.
The Internet Explorer mode in the new browser of Microsoft Edge will be supported at least until 2029 to give developers the time to modernize outdated applications.
Internet Explorer launched in 1995 and by 2004 he occupied 95% of the market. In 2015, Microsoft introduced the new browser - Edge. The company is called "faster, safe and modern."
