Ex-deputy of the Kargopol City Duma held accountable for Ukrainian slogan

In relation to Radik Adnobaev, a protocol was drawn up under Part 1 of Art. 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

June 17, 2022 in relation to the ex-deputy of the Kargopol City Duma Arkhangelsk region activist Radik Adnobaev, a protocol was drawn up under Part 1 of Art. 20.3 Code of Administrative Offenses (propaganda or demonstration of symbols or paraphernalia of extremist organizations). On June 29, the Nyandoma District Court fined him 1,000 rubles.

During a dispute on the social network, Adnobaev wrote "Glory to Ukraine, glory to the heroes!", after which his counterpart promised to get him involved in responsibility.

We consider the persecution of Adnobaev illegal. Recall that part 1 of Art. 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses implies punishment for displaying the symbols or attributes of banned organizations, rather than publishing their slogans. In addition, the slogan "Glory to Ukraine", included into circulation at the beginning of the 20th century, should not be regarded solely as a slogan Ukrainian nationalist organizations banned in Russia, especially since in recent years, it has been used everywhere in Ukraine and since 2018 it has been official greeting in the Ukrainian army and police.

Note that in relation to Adnobaev A protocol was drawn up under Art. 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses on discrediting activities Russian armed forces - because of a post with a photograph in which he held poster with anti-war slogan. The court fined him 30,000 rubles for this post.
