Britain imposed sanctions against Potanin, Gutseriev and Putin's niece

The authorities of Great Britain entered the sanctions list of entrepreneurs Vladimir Potanin and Said Gutseriev, the governor of the Kemerovo region Sergey Tsivilev and his wife Anna Tsivilev - she is the cousin of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The updated list is published on the website of the government.

The country's decision explained to the fact that the Potanin, who owned the Interros company, is the second person in Russia in terms of capital. Supporting Putin, Potanin continues to get rich: after the outbreak of war, he bought Rosbank and Tinkoff Bank shares, the UK government said.

“We will use sanctions to weaken the Russian military machine. No one and nothing can avoid them, ”the report said.

The authorities of Great Britain also announced the sanctions that they will introduce against Russian citizens and companies for supporting Syria President Bashar al -Assad and "in repressions against the civilian population."

In total, the UK has imposed sanctions against more than 1000 individuals and 100 legal entities from the Russian Federation. The sanctions were introduced against Alina Kabaeva, the head of the board of directors of the National Media Group, grandmother Kabaeva Anna Zatsepilina, the former wife of Putin Lyudmila Okheret and his other relatives: Mikhail Putin, Igor Putin, Putin’s novel and Mikhail Shelomov.
