During the war in Ukraine, at least 346 children were killed, more than 645 were injured. This was reported by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine. In his report, the department emphasizes that this is not final data, since the calculation of victims continues in temporarily occupied and liberated territories, as well as in the places of conducting active hostilities.
Most of the children were injured in:
- Donetsk region - 346,
- Kharkov region - 186,
- Kyiv region - 116,
- Chernihiv region - 68,
- Lugansk region - 61,
- Nikolaev region - 53,
- Kherson region - 52,
- Zaporizhzhya region - 31.
The Prosecutor General’s Office reports the latest recorded victims. On July 3, a 4-year-old girl was seriously wounded in Bakhmut, she died of injuries. On July 5, as a result of shelling by the Russian troops of the village of Pechenegi of the Chuguevsky district of the Kharkov region, a 2-year-old boy was wounded.
The Prosecutor General’s Office also notes that 2108 educational institutions of Ukraine were damaged by Russian bombing and shelling. Of these, 215 are completely destroyed.
