Vyacheslav Borodulin was detained and prosecuted under Art. 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses due to a post with the "Smart Voting" logo.
On July 18, 2022, he was detained and the municipal deputy of the Khoroshevo-Mnevniki district was delivered to the district police department Vyacheslav Borodulin. A protocol was drawn up against him under the article on public demonstration of extremist symbols (part 1 of article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
The reason for the persecution of Borodulin was a post on the social network in 2020 with the logo project "Smart Voting", which law enforcement agencies attributed to the symbolism of the prohibited structures of Alexei Navalny.
The decision to ban Navalny's headquarters, the Fund for Combating corruption (FBK) and the Fund for the Protection of Citizens' Rights (FZPG) was adopted in June 2021 year entered and legal force in August. In our opinion, the legitimate grounds for the ban there were no Navalny organizations as extremist and, accordingly, we consider wrongful persecution for displaying their symbols. We also We believe that mentions and placement of the Smart Voting logo cannot be considered a demonstration of the symbolism of Navalny's structures.
