IMAX has left Russia - TASS

IMAX Corporation, providing the cinematic system of the same name, left Russia. This was announced by TASS by a member of the Council of the Association of Cinema Owners Roman Isaev.

According to him, this happened on June 1: “I am ready to confirm that IMAX corporation left Russia, the last day of its official representative office and work here was May 31. All employees were dismissed, respectively, the leadership of the corporation represented by Vice President for Eastern Europe, India and the Middle East, which was based in Moscow, moved to London ”

In total, from February 24, after the outbreak of war against Ukraine, more than 1000 companies left Russia. Among them are Microsoft, Netflix, McDonald's, Johnson & Johnson, H&M and others. In early July, Universal Pictures announced the closure of its Russian business.
