TASS, citing a source in law enforcement agencies, announced that after the start of the war, more than 2.8 million people came to Russia from Ukraine, including 448 thousand children. According to TASS interlocutor, half of them are the inhabitants of the LPR and the DPR.

In his publication, TASS calls these Ukrainians refugees who themselves arrived in Russia. However, the Ukrainian side has repeatedly said that these people were delivered from Ukraine by force.

So, on July 13, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that 2 million Ukrainians were taken to Russia. According to him, they are selected communications and documents, as well as intimidated and transported to remote areas of the country in order to complicate the return home.
