The Ukrainian government has allowed sailors to travel abroad in agreement with the military

Ukrainian sailors will be able to travel abroad in agreement with territorial recruitment and social support centers . This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.

Crew members who continue to work on ships, as well as students and cadets who need practical training on ships, will be able to leave.

Ukraine is one of the world leaders in the number of highly qualified seafarers. More than 100 thousand Ukrainians work in the world merchant shipping. This decision will provide jobs for thousands of seafarers and increase budget revenues.

• Ukrainian sailors were deprived of the opportunity to go to sea as a result of a ban on travel abroad for men aged 18 to 60 (Meduza wrote about this in detail). Unlike truck drivers, no exceptions were made for them. The sailors petitioned the Ukrainian authorities to allow them to leave.
