The opposition policy of Leonid Goman was detained for a post on Facebook that Joseph Stalin is worse than Adolf Hitler. This was reported by the OVD-Info with reference to lawyer Yulia Tregubov, who helped Goman. According to the publication, we are talking about a post made on October 28, 2020.

According to the lawyer, the politician will remain before the trial at night in the Tver police department, the court will take place tomorrow at noon. He is charged with an article on the identification of the actions of the USSR and Nazi Germany (part 1 of article 13.48 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

In the publication, because of which the case was opened, Gozman wrote: “Hitler is an absolute evil, but Stalin is even worse. SS are criminals, but the NKVD is even worse, because the Chekists killed their own. ”

Sotavision reports that law enforcement officers detained a policy at the exit from the hospital. He refused to go to the department, since he had no documents with him and he needed to return to the clinic to receive. The employee went to the hospital with him. Gozman contacted a lawyer, waited for her arrival and then went to the police department.

On Gozman's page on Facebook there is also a publication made from the beginning of the war in Ukraine in 2022, with the mention of Hitler and Stalin. The text says:

“War is the invasion of the real world into propaganda myths. Stalin promised to defeat the enemy with little blood, a powerful blow, fighting in a foreign territory. He himself seemed to believe that it would be so, and therefore immediately after the start of the war he published directive No. 1, in which he ordered the enemy to throw the enemy to the borders of the USSR, but this border was not crossed, he apparently did not understand what was actually happening.

But Hitler did not obey his order, and the whole people saw how the enemy walked and walked forward, capturing more and more new cities and killing millions of people. And if in deep rear people could still believe in bossy fairy tales, then there were no illusions on advanced illusions. No one believed in the beneficial effects of spells of senior leadership, it was not for nothing that the front -line soldiers with such contempt, and often with hatred treated the diverse political departments who provided a loud “cheers”.

Prior to this, the politician also actively spoke about both Stalin and Hitler.

On July 15, it was reported that Gozman was detained and taken to the Investigative Committee, where he was interrogated and released. Then he told The Insider that he was brought a criminal case against him due to a non-announcement of the second citizenship under Art. 330.2 Criminal Code. Later, the same criminal case - a non -notice of dual citizenship - was brought to Gozman's wife.

Gozman is the president of the Union of Right Forces, the right -winged political party that existed in Russia in 1999-2008. In the spring of 2021, the Gagarinsky District Court of Moscow fined him for 20 thousand rubles due to the action in support of Alexei Navalny. In May 2022, the Ministry of Justice included Gozman in the list of "foreign agents".
